“Wild Church” happens when we invite nature to be part of our worship experience, as we listen for how God might be speaking to us through God’s creation. We usually give this a try on a summer Sunday at HOP. Our last one was August 23rd. Check back here for more information about 2027.

This is a movement that started in Europe as “Forest Church” and moved to North America as “Wild Church”. It invites nature to contribute to the worship experience. We gather around a nature altar for songs, readings, communion, prayers, sharing stories, and time to enjoy nature around us.
Help us create a nature altar that morning with items you bring from home or items you find on the church property. Please bring your lawn chairs, wear nature-inspired clothing and comfortable shoes to walk around the grounds.
